Used canoe barrels

Used barrels are available at a signifacant savings however it is buyer beware on these used barrels.  First of all not all retailers make it clear that the barrels are used and secondly they seldom know what the previous contents were.  These barrels are used in the shipping industry for many products from photo finishing chemicals to pharmeceuticals.  A used barrels MAY represent a health risk if the barrel is used for food

This harness represents the ultimate in barrel carrying comfort (choice of Bill Laymen).  This harness must be worn to be truly appreciated.  The barrel pouch shown in the photo above is an excellent option (available seperately) that can be used on all Ostrom harnesses.  $185.00

Trailhead

Very good value.  This harness lacks the comfort or the durability of the Ostrom harnesses but for the occasional user or a frquent user who does little portaging then this harness may be the answer.  $59.00
