All Ostrom pack are built in Canada to last .. period.  These packs must be seen to be truly appreciated for their workmanship and durability.  Hiking packs are triple stiched in 500D Cordura nylon for a combination of water repellancy and durability and stress points such as tie points are heavily reinforced.  These packs have a Ballistic nylon bottom (will never wear through).

 

The Ostrom Aurora and Boreal have a system of interchangeable shoulder straps and hip belts of different sizes.  This system allows the pack to be fitted the the wearer at the retail location.  Another advantage of this system is that a pack bought for a child can be changed to a larger harness as the child grows.  These packs have an internal frame that help prevent strain on a childs back while carrying heavy loads home from school.


The Ostrom Windsong, Alpamayo and Ouimet are a custom fitted pack that ensures the owner will derive great joy from wearing this pack rather than spending their time playing with adjustment to make the pack fit. These three packs also have a double bottom and triple stitching throughout.

Ostrom Boreal and Aurora

       

 

The Boreal is a top loading pack (42 litres) and has the internal frame and modular shoulder straps and hip belt just like the Aurora.  This pack has the space to make light overnight trips or heavy duty day trips.  This pack has a lot of places to tie gear such as snowshoes or crampons.  $193.00

The Aurora is a panel loading day pack (35 litre) with an internal frame.  This pack makes an excellent pack for a child since it can be used as a book bag and a hiking pack and it can grow with a child (see sidebar for modular info).  $193.00

Ostrom Eclipse

The Eclipse is a 55 litre internal frame pack that is available in two frame sizes as well as several shoulder strap and hip belt sizes.  If you need more than a day pack but don't want to carry a full size backpack then this pack may meet you needs.  Of course this pack is built with the same rock solid construction as all Ostrom products!!  $300.00
